This committee was constituted by “Call For Justice” an NGO after receiving vital information in respect of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi, presently a Minority Institution regarding discrimination of non-muslims and conversions of non-muslims to Islam and the harassment being done to non-muslims. On 04.08.2024 a demonstration was held at Jantar-Mantar by schedule caste and Balmiki Samaj members in support of one employee Mr. Ram Niwas, who was being harassed and discriminated in JMI because of being a non-muslim. Call For Justice also received oral and written complaints from many others in respect of the harassment / conversion of non-muslims and discrimination with non-muslims in JMI. After holding a preliminary enquiry into the allegations against JMI, Call For Justice decided to constitute a Fact Finding Committee in order to hold a detailed enquiry into the allegations. The following persons were requested to be the members of the committee in order to hold an enquiry into the complaints received by Call For Justice: 

  1. Justice (Retd.), Shiv Narayan Dhingra, Former Judge, Delhi High Court, (Chairman)
  • Sh. Rajeev Kumar Tiwari, Advocate, Delhi High Court, (Secretary)
  • Sh. Narender Kumar (IAS), Former Secretary Delhi Government (Member)
  • Sh. S.N. Srivastava, Former Commissioner of Delhi Police, (Member)
  • Dr. Nadeem Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Karori Mal College, Delhi, (Member)
  • Ms. Purnima, Advocate Delhi High Court (Member)

The Board of trustee of call for justice refer the following points to the committee for enquiry:

  1. To enquire into victims of conversion and their relentless sufferings, harassment and victimization at the hands of radical elements of the University Authorities.
  • To enquire into the reason of sharp decline, in number of Non-Muslim students and staffs in the University campus in last 12 years and steps for remedying it.
  • To make an enquiry in to the act and role of University Officials and person involved in creating an adverse and hostile atmosphere to non-muslim students and University staffs.
  • To enquire into the details of Anti-National activities and agenda being run by the radical and fanatic elements from the University Campus.
  • Any other incidental matter that may emerge during the course of enquiry by the committee.
